Letter of the President

Dear Members of the International Peeling Society,

It is with great honor and gratitude that I extend my sincerest thanks to the Board of Directors and each of you for entrusting me with the role of President of the IPS. I am honored by the confidence you have placed in me and am committed to upholding the exceptional standards set by my predecessors.

Allow me to introduce myself to the esteemed members of the IPS.

I am Dr. Fotini Bageorgou, a Dermatologist and Venereologist based in Athens, Greece.
My journey in medicine began at the University of Ioannina, Greece, leading to specialized training in Dermatology and Venereology at Andreas Sygros Hospital of Dermal & Venereal disease. Granted a scholarship from the 1^st Dermatology University Clinic as first of my class, I completed a fellowship at the University of Colorado, USA (Anschutz University Hospital-Cancer Pavillion). I also received private training on Face and Genital Anatomy and Injection techniques at Paris Descartes University, Medical School.

As the owner of two Private Dermatology & Laser Clinics in Athens, and one in Santorini, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, I have been actively involved in advanced aesthetic procedures, dermatologic surgery, and skin diagnosis. My commitment to education is evident through my role as a trainer in advanced aesthetic procedures and chemical peels in Greece & abroad and as a faculty member for all the major regional, national & international meetings worldwide. I also participate in the academic residency training program of the Athens University Dermatology Clinic.

At this point, let me address the mission of IPS and how I envision my contribution to society's goals in the future. The International Peeling Society is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in chemical peelings in Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. This includes excellence in clinical practice, medical education, and research in the field of chemical peels. For our members, the IPS provides a global platform to foster relationships, encourage the exchange of ideas, and stay up to date on research-relevant topics.

As your President, I am committed to advancing the mission of IPS, by promoting excellence in clinical practice, supporting educational initiatives, and fostering global collaboration. Together, we will continue to build on the legacy of our society and ensure that our members benefit from the latest advancements in chemical peelings.

I look forward to leading IPS into the year 2024 and beyond. Let us continue working collaboratively and passionately for the success of the Society.
