Personal Peeling Training for Deep Peels in Vienna (Austria)
May 22 - 25, 2014
Kuzbari Zentrum für Ästhetische Medizin
Deep phenol peels a great tool for skin rejuvenation by treating efficiently deep wrinkles, lentigines, skin laxity and solar elastosis. The results are outstanding. This method has been known for many centuries and was introduced in the medical field by Baker and Gordon in the 1960s, who made a lot of research. Since then, dermatologists and plastic surgeons have been performing the Phenol Peel worldwide. The goal of the International Peeling Society is to establish a standard for peels and to train colleagues on the highest level.
From May 22 – 25, 2014 a small group of 3 doctors (2 dermatologists and 1 plastic surgeon) were trained in deep peels. All doctors were already experienced in peels. The training was organized by Dr. Luitgard Wiest and Dr. Elke Janig and took place in the beautiful ambience of the „Kuzbari Zentrum für Ästhetische Medizin“ in Vienna, Austria.
The participants gained an insight into the theory of deep peels, indications, complications and “tips and tricks” about deep peels. In the practical part four deep peels (three Baker-Gordon and one Jessner and 35% TCA) were demonstrated. Three deep Baker-Gordon Phenol Peels were performed with two patients with deep acne scars and one patient with deep wrinkles, letigines and solar elastosis. One patient was treated with fines lines and lentigines by a Jessner and deep TCA Peel.
With this course the participants gained a good insight into deep peels.
